The Eclipse MT-7509 Fiber Optic Laser Tester is a light source used to locate breaks and misconnections in fiber optic cables. It is an ideal instrument to find the broken or bent patch cords, especially in fiber identification among ribbon or bunched optic fiber pigtails during the installation, in which identifying fiber from end to end may be troublesome or time-consuming. It as a 635nm Class III A laser source with an output power of 5mW and it can be used on SM (single mode) fibers.

The MT-7509 projects a highly visible red light into a fiber optic cable. The operator simply looks at the length of cable and where light is seen, there is a break. Equipped with a high-power, extra long-life, 635nm Class III A laser diode, it operates in a Continuous mode. Any breaks will be seen as a conspicuously glowing red light point.

The Jonard Tools FCC-125 quick click ferrule end face cleaner is designed to provide exceptional  cleaning performance by cleaning LC connectors beyond the critical fiber core area and cleaning deep into the contact area of a bulkhead adapter or connectors on fiber optic cables. The FOD-2000 Fiber Optic Drop Cable Slitter is a patented tool that simplifies the slitting of drop cable jackets at the end of the cable or mid-span and was developed specifically for FTTH technicians working with flat fiber drop cables. For flat cables, where the width is .305″-.350″ and the height is .155″-.185″. These are the dimensions of a typical Corning SST-Drop flat cable with a jacket thickness of 0.03-0.04 inches. The tool will work on other cables with similar dimensions.

The FOD-2000 puts a slit on both sides of the jacket allowing easy access to the fiber or strength member. The ease of use makes this tool truly unique! To use just position the tool around the cable, pull and slit. A simple twist of the cable allows the jacket and strength members to separate from the buffer tube leaving the fiber undamaged.

Designed for .250″ flat drop cables. The FOD-2000 comes completely assembled with two blades, which can be reversed once the blades are worn. Replacement blades are also available under part number FOD-RB25 for a package of 25 blades.

This Fiber Optic Continuity Tester is an excellent tool for fiber identification when multiple fibers are present. Simply connect your ST,FC, or SMA connector to the adapter and push the on/off button. The red LED light is transmitted down the fiber and escapes through the other end. The unit operates on two supplied AA batteries. The durable rubber packaging easily stores in a tool box. The continuity tester is a low cost, high quality unit.

This unit utilizes a red color LED to provide multimode only fiber continuity testing. It is excellent for continuity verification or simple fiber identification in an interconnect location. The flashlight shape and durable hard rubber casing make it very easy to work with.

This unit has a 2.5mm universal adapter which can accept all 2.5mm ferrule connectors such as FC, SC, ST and E2000.

Please note:

This unit can not replace the functions of a laser-based fault locator. Laser Fault Locators utilize a much higher powerful 650nm red laser to find breakage and bad bends in single mode and multimode fibers.
